Yeah, even TLOU had David or the group in Pittsburgh for “unremitting villain,” or possibly even FEDRA or Robert as clear villains. TLOU2? Not really any clear cut villains besides the Rattlers at the very, very end.
I don’t know, is this still Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot, or is it Baby Got Back by Jonathan Coulton?
First off, I mostly agree with you. “The groups of people that blindly suck down that content are a lot smaller than the ones that understand it” — agreed; I think the people who thought the Szechuan sauce joke was funny and moved on with their lives are a much larger group than the people who were yelling at…
> Either they’re in it for the satire or they’re in it for the “offensive humor.” No offense to anyone who likes the latter, but I don’t think we’d get along very well, haha.
I did the first playthrough on Very Light so I could get through the story as fast as possible. I had to shut off the auto aim because I found it so annoying. I’d be trying to adjust the crosshair up for a headshot, and then they would move and I’d be way off again or back at their torso.
My only problem with the feature to skip cutscenes is the game itself is so beautiful and generally transitions so smoothly, there are times when I can’t tell if I’m starting a cutscene or not (so, hit pause, no option to skip cutscene).
No, but that was the rumor that was being pushed. I believe the idea was the answer to all of the “questions” Druckmann posed were “no.”
I think there were some really, really valid criticisms above, like the issue with the dogs or the stark, grim brutality.
Holy shit, I wrote up a different response, but the story/characterization argument in that review is so wrong.
There is truth mixed with falsities all through-out your comment.
Agree to disagree. The gameplay dramatically improved on the first, and the story and characterizations were, a few minor points aside, just as good as the first. Honest opinion. I don’t agree with every choice Naughty Dog made, but that was a challenging, rewarding, draining experience, and I’m glad I played through…
10/10, or 5 stars, or two thumbs up, has never meant perfect, but if you’re going to label your point system out of 10 points, and then specifically not ever use 10, what’s the point? It’s just as silly.
I read both reviews, and they’re both accurate, but damn... you’re doing yourself a disservice by not playing. I understand, the game is dark and fucking brutal, and they’re were multiple points where I just couldn’t even and wanted to put the controller down, but it was absolutely amazing. Some people will rightly…
Nothing wrong with escapism, but I hope video games can do better than just escapism. This game literally made me cry over a number of points, it was definitely not “KILL DOGS LOL.”
> For me personally, I’m disturbed that a queer woman (Ellie) seems to suffer most when she’s embracing her queerness.
And given BioShock 1 didn’t try to go in for any of that equivocating nonsense on Objectivism, it’s more than a little disconcerting to see such a limp-wristed stance on Columbia’s extreme view of American racism and American Exceptionalism.
You could upgrade the shivs for multiple uses, up to 3 I think. But especially on the harder difficulty, you had to save your shivs to break open locked doors, and they had to have full durability. I think on Grounded (the hardest TLOU difficulty) you had to use every single shiv on a door (and even then, you might…
Cordyceps, real or in TLOU, is a fungus, not a virus. I know, nobody cares.
Nice, the “I can’t actually refute anything you have to say, so I’ll resort to saying nothing but stupidity” response. Always popular on the internet when you just need to get the last word in.
