“What can be done about the MCU at this point?”

Ultrasound detector?  I’m sure somebody ought to be able to figure this out.  They can find studs behind your walls -- you just need the resolution to tell one minifig from another.

Totally with you on that.

A mystery set a thousand or more years in the past. A Jedi detective. Something showing the cruel colonization events that led to the weird half-post-colonial status of the Star Wars universe. How did human-forms get all over the galaxy? Show just the tiniest bit of that — just a bit, seriously — while following a

Imma agree with you here, and I haven’t even seen a moment of Clone Wars. I saw that character, and I thought, “Oh, wow, that’s probably a character that means something to people. It’s showing how terrible the murder of all those Jedis has been. I get it. This is a moment of pathos.”

As a non-POC who teaches high school in a just-about-entirely-POC neighbourhood, I really appreciate this take.  It’s what I would think but do not have the lived experience to put into words.  Thank you for saying this.

That’s a hell of a good idea.

I think I’ve said it on a previous version of this discussion. I was probably ten when I saw it, but it was the summer I turned eleven, so I’ve always thought of eleven as my Star Wars age.

I really liked that episode, and I’m not Ukrainian — and I completely agree with you.

I’m gonna go for it, hoping to find some of that eighties magic in his work again. He’s basically apologized for Holy Terror, so I’m going to keep giving him chances.

I’m torn between wishing I could go on a ride like this ... and hating anyone who would throw away so much money that could be used in so many better ways.

I think by then the beetleoids will have been replaced by the distributed-mind viral entity that will ultimately inherit the earth.  It will be able to see the stars by having its billions of hosts look up all at once, so it should get a good view.

I think you’re getting it backwards.

So true. My wife and I are doing a rewatch of the best of TNG with our fourteen-year-old and it is a joy. It makes for such interesting contrast with Discovery (which I do appreciate, but which talks about feelings way too much, when Picard would have just given a stiff nod and said, “Well done, number one.”)

Right on.  The episode is totes ridiculous, but hella fun!

Everything you’ve said is entirely correct. You should be awarded many stars.

You know, it’s weird; I’ve been hearing this complaint for years, but it just doesn’t match my experience. I had an iPad 1 and then a 3 back in the day before switching to Android tablets. My favourites have been the Pixel C and some mid-range Samsung I’m using now — A7 maybe?

Comixology is now more than aware of the errors it made in this process

Weird. Kinja isn’t displaying my post correctly. That link should be a link and it should come after “here:” which is how I composed it.
