Bless you for responding.  Imma check it out.

I’m not gonna pirate it — because I just feel yucky doing that.

Literal Viscera might be the name of my new metal band if that’s okay with you.

That ain’t sad. You have so much good stuff to look forward to. Happy reading! (When you get the chance...)

I’m with you. Let’s have some acting in it this time.

This is good news.  Like a lot of SF on TV in its day, it always felt like a rough draft.  I have high hopes.

I think this will turn out well. Davies has had more than a decade to see what others have done, to learn from them, and to think about what he might do.

I, who went in sneering, lip a-curled

I’m unsure of who CPM might be, but seriously, Dahl said some odious things.  Fuck him.  He was an inspired writer in his good moments, but fuck him.  Diana Wynne Jones is better any day of the week.

I guess they haven’t heard about his disgusting antisemitism yet. Should I tell them or wait for it to blow up?

You’re ... actually really selling me on this one...

I get it, and basically I think you’re right. I sometimes buy the books, and just hold off on reading them (hi, Mr. Rothfuss). Personally, I still have faith in George to finish ASOIAF, which I started reading almost exactly a quarter of a century ago.

Oddly, now you’re making me want to try it again...

I think I might boycott until I hear about part two. Half-told stories make me said. If the studio won’t commit, I’ll just leave it with those three books Frank Herbert wrote...

I mean, he did describe the comics as “some delightful literary pairings.”  It’s not being assigned as required reading.

If you push it back to 2000-2002 and make it WorldCon or WisCon, that could have been a story about me...

For me it’s “Darmok.” For my wife it’s either “that one with the flute” or “that naked wedding one.”

It means that the idiots will have to move the goalposts and come up with another reason to be “vaccine hesitant.”
