@Bysshe: I agree. Americans do get screwed. What's odd to me is that so many Americans revel in it. They're proud not to take vacations. Seems unhealthy to me. Vacations are time to spend with family and friends. Boasting that your job makes you too busy for that seems more than a little crazy.
