I hate to be sour grapes. These guys should be commended for the effort, but would have been better served until they'd learned proper pacing for action sequences, how to composite CG into live action, chroma key footage properly, and structure a story free of cliche.
You know, it kinda makes me wonder a bit why the folks behind SyFy don't keep more of an eye on such gems popping up. I'd be so in to a bit of airtime there for shorts that fit the theme, which can then be used for customer/community binding / word-of-mouth marketing. Swings more than one way.
"I'll hold out for the sequel, Supernovr."
3m in... Are they shooting lens flares at each other?!?
Last night's Game of Thrones was ridiculously eventful, with a number of major turning points. But "Mockingbird" was…
Khan - a a wonderful, intelligent, charismatic leader turned into a moron (my people are all dead so I'm ave.... Oh, wait, alive. Give me the pods, the exploding pods, do not remove the explosives tho)
Stop what you are doing and watch the trailer for the fan-made film The Akira Project. Set in Neo Tokyo, (NOT Neo…
Even with it's flaws, which were not insignificant, I still really enjoyed watching this movie.
In the spirit of top that, I leave you this
I watched it and I still don't get it. Can you share your interpretation? Mine is, guy in spaceship is mentally tormeted by a big orange planet while watching a cylindrical spaceship/city that for some reason is losing its gravity, then queue blurry picture of earth. What am I missing here and why is this any good?
BOOK SPOILERS AHEAD....(sort of)
This fucking guy is so full of himself. He can't just arrow muthafuckers in a standard manner. He has to do flips over orcs, cartwheel on elephants while firing arrows, and show up in movies he's not supposed to be in. What a douche.
He's the first one I thought of, and I'm frankly rather shocked I had to scroll so far down to see him. I was sure he'd be one of the first two or three mentioned.
Bender Bender Bender. Bender Bender Bender.
This jerk right here. Zap Brannigan.
I figure they chose Vegas more for name recognition and, similar to its use in The Stand, it's a town that is synonymous with sin so that may just tie in thematically with what they hope to convey in the show. Plus, I guess I shouldn't be too worked up about realism in regards to a show on SyFy that deals with warring…
Even the games that LOOKED next-gen don't seem to be really next-gen (Second Son). The takeaway I'm getting from all this is that I need to upgrade my PC.
I know the concept is bunk, but this movie looks quite good.
