This has been going on for a while though - see Ghostbusters 2016. It conveniently gives the filmmakers an easy out if it under performs - it’s not because they made a shitty film, it’s because the audience is sexist/racist/homophobic or whatever. They get to go on the attack rather than the defensive.

Another reason it sucks:

This is exactly what is happening right now. People don’t want actors anymore they want exact representations of the material that is being portrayed (they don’t even care if it is based on a true story, biography or a fairy tale).

No, it’s not.

And I’ve seen attacks by the writers on this site against actors choosing acting roles because they didn’t agree with the actor’s choice of role.

I don’t understand this trend of criticizing people for not being enough like the person they are portraying.

On the brighter side, F1 going electric will give a big boost to Moto GP

Formula E is terrible to watch, and Formula 1 seems to be driving itself into the weeds currently. To use Ross Brawn’s 10 year timeline, if things continue as they are, there won’t be anything to watch.

If you give your workers exoskeletons, they will lose muscle mass, becoming too weak to mount a proletarian revolution.

A boot is still the preferred method, however.

I hate it when the shift pattern isn’t in English.

Yep.

This happens a lot more frequently than people realize, although the solutions are generally a lot more complicated than a layer of concrete.
