“For profit” or not, insurance is about pooling risk. Being mad at the concept of insurance because of America’s terrible legislative/regulatory environment seems misguided at best. But either way, a few thousand current/former NFL players will not have any discernible effect on your premiums.

I agree 100%. Another step would be to limit foreign investment and speculation in housing. On the west coast especially, foreign (aka Chinese) buyers have bought a ton of houses/apartments and kept them vacant. Vancouver recently instituted a foreign buyer tax, I think that is a good idea. Also some sort of vacancy

Higher taxes is equivalent to reinvesting in the business and hiring more people instead of stashing the cash, buying back shares, and/or giving dividends to shareholders.
