You wash out your filthy mouth, Rob. That show was awesome, not awful. The social satire was up there with the Simpsons’ best seasons.

The ride isn’t an historically accurate representation of the 1600s, it’s a romanticized tribute to “A Pirate’s Life,” which includes ghosts, shanties, and (now) Captain Jack Sparrow.

The very concept of “Rambo”, as in cartoonish over-the-top gratuitous violence and jingoism came from Rambo II. The John Rambo in First Blood was still just a normal (albeit dangerous) guy. The first film is the one people usually forget.

Remember also that the ‘66 Batman show was the only place that gave any credit to Bill Finger — since Finger co-wrote an episode of the show, he got to see his name on screen, finally credited with writing the character he had co-created.
