Figure out how to increase your income. Get a job if you don’t have one; get a side hustle if you do.

Okay, so I’m preparing myself here, since I expect this will probably be a very unpopular opinion, but...

Now playing

Yes, let’s all be up in arms about this because never before has a prank show set up people on their first day on a new job that turned out not to be real. Oh wait, that actually happened all the time on Candid Camera...

Came here to make the same comment. Don’t see why it’s an exploration of black masculinity — as somebody who’s as white as they come, I saw this as turning the tables on masculinity, period. Was very interesting, I thought — even if the eventual resolution did seem perhaps a bit too neatly tied-up in a bow.

I agree completely.

“Struggled through” is exactly how I’d describe my viewing. I really wanted to like these, and so I managed to watch 5 of them, but after each one was incredibly disappointed, yet I still thought that maybe the next one would be good. Finally I threw in the towel.

They really hit the trifecta with all of their three starring ladies: Laura was the adorable one, Lexa Doig the sultry one, and Lisa Ryder the tough & sassy one. I happen to be a Beka Valentine worshipper all the way, but I won’t deny anyone else their personal infatuation. ;-)

“Great idea, Ted!”

Looking at the linked article, it appears that this exploit can work if you just rename an ACE archive so it has the *.rar extension, since WinRAR “detects the format by the content of the file and not by the extension.” So the end user wouldn’t even necessarily know that they were opening an ACE archive.

Yeah, I wonder if Lanter is just one of those guys who needs direction in order to sound natural. I liked him well enough in the animated series, but here, his line readings were just way off in most parts. JAT is a pro, so he can bring sizzle to nearly any line you give him.

Really?? I’ve talked to about a dozen self-professed fans of the show in its first season, who have pretty much all stated that they were about ready to give up on it in season 2, save for a few episodes here and there which brought them back from the brink.

Totally agree with your assessment. I stuck it out to the end, and thought it was pointless, as well.

I quite liked A Star Is Born, but I wish the 2nd half was more like the 1st half — things got rather melodramatic towards the end. The first part, though, was rather joyous, and I thought Gaga was fab in the role.

If you’re talking about video quality when you say “glitchy”, then I’d posit that the issue is your computer or device. I’ve always found Vimeo to have very high quality playback.

That’s a great idea. I have a convertible computer desk setup and don’t use it standing as much as I probably should, mostly because it’s hard to stand in one place for too long, so it seems like this would definitely alleviate that. However, even discounted, that’s a lot pricier than it should be for what’s

Wow, is that actually supposed to be an outfit under that cape, or is she just wearing body paint?

One of my biggest takeaways from the episode: seeing Stephen Amell in the Flash outfit just drove home the point that even a guy in terrific physical shape looks stupid as hell in this season’s terrible new Flash suit design.

While it appears I enjoy Discovery far more than you do (extrapolating from your words “and that is saying A LOT”), I agree that this was the weakest of the Short Treks. It could have been so much more. To me it totally fell flat — and unlike the author, I don’t feel it’s the origin story that Saru deserves. He is a

My first pet was a gray and white cat named Crève!

There are some copies of the vintage version available for sale on eBay. One that I saw was like $20.
