Exactly, it’s not a matter of covering things, or having a viewpoint, but there are a couple authors that really go overboard.

(The “(RIP)” note re: Oppo was regarding Oppo as a .jalopnik... Edited for clarification. There are no plans to shut down oppositelock.kinja.com that I’m aware of.)
Jalopnik was better before Gawker bought it.
It’s possible to discuss politics, while being honest about your personal position, without denigrating those who might disagree.
Once again, George Carlin clued us all in to this shit decades ago...people really need to listen, actually LISTEN, to this prophet of truth. Actually, George Carlin and Joe Strummer are probably the only teachers we need. Anyway...
I did it the first two weeks and our team definitely didn’t Google anything (we were the #1 team for week two). It’s against the rules and there’s little incentive to Google things since there isn’t an actual prize. Even if you do ‘cheat’ and then get the top score, it’s not like you feel like you actually…
As an owner of an ‘09 Aero, I’m a bit biased. ~$10k USD with ~100k miles is pretty decent, and it’s a better deal than you’ll find on a TBSS which is orders of magnitude more common, and not as nice.
The 9-2x was probably the better WRX at the time...
My thoughts exactly. It’s as good as a GMT360 gets, which really isn’t bad at all in standard trim. The LS2 makes it a lot more interesting. I don’t care about rare, but I do care about interesting. Sign me up.
Yeah, I think I agree. In my mind, the 9-7x (and the 9-2x) is more akin to a trim level than anything, and I can’t help but think it looks good. I don’t care if it’s not a “real” Saab. It’s a close-to-400hp V8-powered AWD highway eater in decent shape for $10 grand, and you should be able to get it serviced at any…
I’ll be a contrarian and go NP. I like weird stuff and it doesn’t get weirder than a Saabified Bravada. The 390 HP LS motor and allegedly buttoned up suspension tuning makes me smile as well as the uber clean undercarriage.
I’ll be honest, the people leaving Jalopnik didn’t bother me too much because there are still some decent writers left and I honestly just pop in as a fairly mindless distraction from work. Had no real plans to change that and couldn’t really give a hoot about Spanefeller or hulk Hogan or whatever other garbage goes…
This is what I did. I put a sentence about I’ll take a spot if returning participants were welcome to join again.
Same thing going on in Ontario... and as a result, I’m seeing police doing speed enforcement in places I haven’t seen them do it for years because until recently, there was always too much traffic to speed in any big way on those stretches of highway.
It’s also bringing out the dreaded autoplay video. Which, really, is the worst crime of them all.
I am not super convinced a pickup would be much better in this accident.
The bed might stop the first two layers of bricks but the upper layers are still joining the driver in the front.
I’m the Honda Beat guy in Group 6. This was a blast of a game. Let’s do it again!
I haven’t had that much fun on a Friday night in a long time, or at least it feels like forever since the world turned off.
I resemble that remark.
A huge thank you to Jason and David for hosting this event! Can’t wait to do it again this week!
