No one wants to ban cats in New Zealand. OK, one loudmouth rich dude. But no one else.

Unfortunately those bad owners more frequently choose Pit bull type dogs over any other kind of dog - and often because of their "tough" reputation. So for many places banning the breed is the easiest thing to do to look like they are doing SOMETHING about the problem. However breed specific legislation is pretty…
I just don't understand how a "good" cut automatically translates into an "expensive" cut though. Sure, maybe someone with a bit more experience can charge a bit more, but similarly a complete noob could just hike up their prices for the same effect. Listening effectively and delivering on what you promise aren't…
Same here - cut and dyed my own for 2 years. If I'm going to be unsatisfied/underwhelmed by a change (and I usually am when I pay for it), I'd rather do it myself so I can go back and fix it!! I once paid about $90 for an awesome cut and style, but once I washed it, I was back to my plain old naughty hair again.
Oh my skin LOVES the humidity. I have rosacea, and keratosis pilaris and both are much less problematic after spending time in a warm humid place (e.g. Mexico). Plus my bacne goes away after seawater and a little bit of sun. So as long as you properly apply sunscreen, summer for the win for skin.
See I love summer because my body has some serious issues with regulating body temperature - in winter, I sweat when I am cold. I put on layers to stay warm and then I end up clammy and really uncomfortable. It makes no fucking sense. So I love summer where I am warm and can wear no sleeves so any sweat just…
Haha cute, the Australian thinks she knows what winter is. ;P
I read this in the paper here the other day (it's coming into winter here in the deep south) and it said that SAD, like other forms of depression, tends to affect women more than men.
Hmmm, have you heard of the placebo effect? The energy you feel you get from meat might be completely in your head. Show me a randomised trial with some people eating meat and a control group eating (unbeknownst to them) a fake meat and then we can test this higher energy level hypothesis of yours.
I'd just like to add that plenty of vegans "are regular healthy people" too. Thanks. Please don't throw me under the weird anaemic hippy bus please.
I appreciate your comments throughout this comment section from out here in The Grey Zone. Good work.

If you're allergic to soy, you'd probably want to avoid the mystery meat anyway - it's bound to contain soy fillers as many cheap sausages etc. often do.
"People have ridiculous notions of what our ancestors did (guess what - they didn't eat meat every day, nevermind every fucking meal) and try to use their ignorant beliefs as a guide to how we should live our lives."
Doesn't mapo tofu often have mince in it? This has always baffled and frustrated me as a vegetarian...
Yes I was just going to say - weird odd couple combo that. And given that they are both nocturnal animals, are they really the best "Good Night Kids" mascots to use? Would they not do a better job of "Hey Kids: Stay Up All Night, It's Cool ,We Do It All The Time"? Oh, the over-thinking mind of a zoologist, eh?
Nightmares? About these guys? I remember them somewhat more fondly. :)
Yes, this is a thing we call ourselves. And for me at least, I like the word kiwi because "New Zealander" doesn't lend itself to forming an adjective. We can't describe something as "New Zealandish". But we can call it kiwi slang or a kiwi custom. And damn it if we don't just love those little flightless bastards…
At least we know "Anal" isn't...
I think if you keep your mouth shut that's all you can be expected to do. There is nothing wrong with silent judging and people can't even say for sure that it's even happening. They are probably just imagining you are judging because they feel conflicted about their food choices and it's nothing to do with you.
