I wax myself - the razor burn is just too much but I can't afford for someone else to do it. I shave everything else but wax my bikini line (just the koala ears) at home. Oh and my inner thighs which for whatever reason are as sensitive to razors as my bikini line.

Times like this we need a GIF of the Cat Friend from this video, where he knocks over the glass @ 1.21

OMG mine is obsessed with the bath. She'll go and STARE until a drip comes out of the tap and then shit, it's ON.

I'm with you - unless he wants a kids like right now (or rather, 9 months from now) then I don't find it a pressing issue. If it's an issue of "maybe, one day" then why not wait till that day comes? Some people would rather have it out now before getting attached, but no one knows what the future holds. It might turn

I thought it was weird that they decided to show us the dogs "comforting" kids who weren't even residents of the town or had anything to do with it - disaster tourists as someone so aptly put it. And I also thought it was weird that the woman decided to bring up God - for a second I thought "Oh! She is dyslexic. She

Let's all be careful with our terminology:

Oh me neither. Which is why I'm vegan. ;)

I'm not a mother and even I've noticed (and resented) it. Over here the pro-breastfeeding (or more accurately, anti-bottle) lobby protested when an advertisement featured a well known, male sports personality bottle feeding his infant child - for a brief second. FFS, the ad itself had nothing to do with formula OR

You and many of the people replying to me are failing to notice the conditional part of my argument that begins with "As long as..."

Shit yes. We don't even tip in this country but I will be tipping the kids working at the theatre when I go there this xmas. If the management frowns upon this then perhaps I can adorn them with a chocolate coated gift of some description instead.

But this happens all kind of days, not just Christmas. If I make plans for some time next week, and then my roster comes out and requires me to work, well that's just tough shit - I can try work it out with my employer and co-workers, but have to accept that it's part of working for a living.

I'm a vegan so McDs isn't really even the relevant part of this for me. I just don't think it's evil and scroogy to be open on Xmas. When you don't celebrate it you can feel very shut out because everyone you know is celebrating, and you can't even go out for a coffee or browse a book store to pass the lonely hours

The Monday to Friday thing always pisses me off - where I live a lot of the public holidays are moved to Mondays when they fall on a weekend day. So say you normally work Sundays, but not Mondays, and a holiday falls on a Sunday, so the benefits are moved to Monday (so that Mon-Friers reap the benefits). You then work

There are no insurance benefits for getting married where I come from, so that whole concept is really alien to me. Just to put my comment into perspective I am getting married in a month. I don't care what any one thinks about the reasons to - because we damn well want to is more than enough of a reason! "coz you

You're talking like I don't already know this - like I said, I have worked xmas day before. I know it's incredibly hard to get off if you draw the short straw and are stuck working then, but that's life. This year I am not working the day of, but I am working every other day either side of it (no holiday pay for those

Well that is not restricted to places like McDs. You're talking like you've already worked Christmas day there, which shouldn't be the case - this is a new thing they are doing. Time and half/day in lieu etc. (whatever applies where you live) are all enforceable by law - it's not something McDonald's can get away with

If that is the actual case then I will join people in being irate about it. But being open on xmas day is not in and of itself a bad thing.

I don't have any advice about how to get it done, but I will admit giving myself a high five when my cat actually began to use the igloo I bought for her!

You know what? We don't all celebrate Christmas. And those of us who choose not to need places to eat and things to do on that day. As long as they aren't forcing anyone against their will to work xmas day, and employees get the holiday pay/alternative day off they are owed, I don't see a problem. I've worked xmas day
