I played Shenmue. For the most part, I dug Shenmue. Out of curiosity, I attempted to watch the movie when I got Shenmue II. That was more than a chore and a bore. It was unbearable.

Seeing as how the entire Mass Effect trilogy is a slightly different game version retelling of the Myth of the Shepherd by some future humans, all of this makes sense.
