Thanks for the added context/history. I’m currently an exterior designer for LR so this stuff fascinates me!

There were actually two versions being developed, a Rover version and a Land Rover version, but only the LR version made it into production:

Mostly an Aussie thing, if I recall correctly: the actual anecdote was that allegedlyAustralians complained when Land Rover went from the mesh grille (up to andincluding the Series IIA) to a plastic one (Series 3 on).

I don’t know, but the guys at JLR Classic told me that the owners of these series Land Rovers remove the grille and use it as an impromptu barbecue.

I was ready to doubt you, but I just watched the video.

When Top Gear USA appeared on the History Channel, Buzz should have been on the second episode, not the first.

Similar to how Noel Coward liked his martinis. A large glass of gin, waved in the general direction of Italy.

That would be my first question as well. My second would be how sustainable and robust is it, and thirdly what are the build quality implications?

Hahahahahaha suckers!

I don’t know what a Miata is, nor do I care.

None of those are British enough, sorry.

You can download Alias for free as a student *cough* and you don’t need a student email address *cough* and it’s the full program.

Cars & Kebabs.

They already made him happen. He has a late night show on American TV.

It’s either Autodesk Alias or ICEM Surf.

You mean Cars & Cakes old chap.

Have you been to the UK? We (as a nation) cannot shut the fuck up about it either.

“Who’s the best pilot you ever saw?”

Yeah. Try driving a non-power steered Defender and come back to me on this one.
