Interestingly, my 2009 Civic LX-S calls for regular, but when I compared my gas mileage between tanks of regular vs mid-grade driving the same routine route I got about 12% better MPG with mid-grade. I also noticed less down-shifting (auto trans) on certain hills along the route.
