Yeah the Xbox 360 "play and charge" battery packs were absolutely terrible. I have no idea what they were trying to accomplish with that... because once the bad reputation got around, nobody bought them.

Agreed! I bought a PS3 after owning an xbox for many years first thing i realized was that my ps3 controller would last easily a week and a half to 2 before needing a charge. My xbox controller on the other hand easily needs to be recharged every 2 or 3 days with regular use.

The battery pack in my 360 controllers lasted less than a 6 months before becoming useless. My PS3 controllers are still going strong after almost 2 and a half years.
