Both my Discovery and my SHO function this way.

I’m pretty sure that this behavior is outlined in the FMVSS somewhere.

Current Discovery II owner here.

I feel like the fatigues should have been a giveaway here...

You really shouldn’t hit the Turbo Boost button that many times, lest you find yourself faced with an unanticipated behavior.

I’m glad someone beat me to it, because I doubt I would have been able to put this to words with the restraint you’ve shown.

I’d say that I’m going to miss Jalopnik when Gawker finally capsizes, but it would seem that the Jalopnik we all know and love has already gone.

The reason that gas stations sell for these incredible prices is simple:

Careful Orlove. Last time I posted a leaked photo, I got a lot of angry e-mails and phone calls from FoMoCo.

What??

Ford easily left 100HP/75TQ on the table in the current gen Taurus SHO iteration of the 3.5L EB. Add methanol injection, and some guys are well north of 500HP on stock internals with no ill effects.

I’m sure that your local Jaguar/ Land Rover dealer (there are 3 that I can find in the Philly area) are able to do it, or can point you to a dealer that can sort you out.

The weather is nice enough for it, but I’m getting married in a month, so it probably won’t see the streets for another couple of months.

Nope, it was entirely a Yamaha endeavor. The only thing the SHO V6 shares with a Vulcan V6 is the bell housing bolt pattern.

Sorry, to be clear, ABS wasn’t available on any Taurus until 1990. When it was finally available, ABS was standard on the SHO.

Only for the V8. The V6 was designed and built by Yamaha, and shipped fully dressed to the US for install by Ford.

ABS didn’t appear until 1990.
