Yeah, I ran an instance last night with some friends, and after that I couldn’t take it any more. It was too annoying to deal with while trying to level an alt.

I never read the Otherworld series. I have read "M, S, & T" and his "Shadowmarch" series. Both of them feature a young redheaded boy who feels like he has to prove his worth, and a princess who would not stick out too badly in a Disney film because she's bored with being a princess and wants more out of life. Each

The first book has a very slow start by modern standards, but it is a really good, epic series. My heart was literally pounding as I was finishing the final book.

Those books are definitely high fantasy, which this list seems to be deliberately avoiding. I'd also say they only got gritty after a couple of books and Rand started to feel the weight of the world on his shoulders and go mad.

I found a copy of that book at used bookstore once because I was intrigued by the cover blurbs that said it was as good as Tolkien. Sadly...I never actually read it. I need to dig it out and see how it holds up.

I love C.S. Friedman and wish she got more recognition nowadays. You just LOVE to HATE Gerald Tarrant. He's such an awesome asshole.

Because he was raised in a magical family, and knows about magic. It's not the same as being pure muggle-born and being kept ignorant about magic.

I have a cat like this. She's the first and only cat I have ever had that absolutely REFUSES to eat canned cat food. It has to be the dry stuff...and she will only eat it from HER bowl.

Well, I would never describe myself as "tiny" the way the OP has. I weighed about 170lbs when I started at the gym, and have put on more muscle since then (I have PCOS and apparently women with PCOS put on muscle more quickly). My trainer is still in college, and I'm pretty sure she's studying something that's health-

Yeah, I was gonna say. I don't know a lot about the types of diets weightlifters generally eat, but my trainer at my gym recommended I try to work up to 100g of protein a day. D:

Thanks, 'Obamate.

Ugh. Something similar happened to me a few weeks ago with a coworker. I told him I'd never been to a concert before, and when he asked me why I said it's because I don't really like super loud noises and crowded spaces. He then promptly asked me if I would like to go to a concert with him. Dude—I just got done

Wow, I didn't even read the copy. I just liked the photo. That line just makes it even better.

I'm not sure the exact date these two ads were published, but based on the hairstyles and makeup, it was definitely the 50s. And apparently yes, some magazines had color prints.

You can still find ads for the Berry Bon Bon. I found a few different scans of this ad, so the color varies a bit, but it looks like a red with maybe a touch of magenta?

So I was going to make a comment about how gullible the Russian people are, and then I remember that Fox News exists and is apparently the most trusted news channel in the US, and got very, very sad.

I watched this movie for the first time this last Christmas, and I'd say it's a decent 80's fantasy action flick...right up until the ending. The ending is just the worst bit of cliche "the power was always within you!" deus ex machina ever. But up until then, the scenery was interesting, the effects were decent, and

I love tanzanite jewelry. My favorite pieces are the ones with that rich periwinkle blue shade. My mom surprised me a few Christmases ago with a pair of simple tanzanite stud earrings. They're a pale shade of lavender, which I'm sure was much cheaper, but I'm not complaining. :3 (Maybe one day when I win the lottery I

Srsly, this is awesome.

Dragon Age: Inquisition for me. I got it right after Christmas, but then didn't play it for a month because I was doing a 31 day art challenge (where you draw a new themed picture every day). I finally got out of the Hinterlands last week, and I finally get all those jokes on Tumblr about dropping onto Solas's desk.
