It’s not mystifying in any way. Buy the deluxe version and don’t worry about anything else or buy the standard version and pay as you go. Video games have been doing it for well over a decade now.

It boggles my mind. A PC game is a PC game. Their platform is the giant box sitting on their desk but they like...refuse to buy PC games when a PC game becomes available to purchase and play for the PC, saying that they would rather it be released on the PC at a later date.
