The design actually looks much better. It’s a bit tighter and smoother IMO (as an owner of a 3DS XL and New 3DS XL)

It’s fine for other people to wait a year. Personally, I prefer not to wait until a game is barely even relevant, anymore. That’s not to say that I get all my games immediately, but the ones I’m greatly looking forward to, I do. Others I can hold off for a bit until they come down in a price, or Christmas comes up, or…
