Give it time. They’ve learned from GTA V its Online counterpart. GTA VI will have fully integrated microtransactions and likely a crossover online function with the Single Player component. Wouldn’t surprise me if the campaign itself will be fully online / coop compatible.

By all rights they ought to be releasing a new iterating into the franchise.

More like, “We heard Frostfall is a popular mod - lets make an inferior feature as part of our massively outdated game.”

You’re aware Switch advertised Skyrim on their initial reveal right?

There is a reason why the individual developer that does stick their head out gets branded with all the ire of the collective public though...

Regarding the demo angle - consider... In reality a demo is far more likely to convince a potential buyer to NOT get it than to convince someone who isn’t already interested to buy it.

Except that the secretive habits pre-date the current more open stance that indie devs are willing to take.

It almost sounds like you believe that every bug and glitch in any game out there is purposefully put in by the developers...

“If you don’t catch it...”

The difference between objective statistics and subjective entertainment value.

They stepped away from the gone forever aspect? That’s news to me. Might be worth paying a visit at some point then...

One simple change. Allow other survivors to use the medicine you’ve found instead of needing to be there at the pace of the timer.

As a base concept the timer is neat enough, but it is so poorly implemented as you’re out there protecting all these people. Some of them then say they’ll watch out for your kid - but YOU have to be back each time to hand her the medicine?

There are consequences to your actions, one of those is that there may be repercussions in your future career path.

There’s a bigger implication.

Here’s the thing, what you’re describing / looking for and what we commonly view as a good RTS are not the same kind of game.

That’s what happens when you build your culture up around fear.

Why don’t they just get things over with and implement special leagues where people are allowed to use performance enhancers?

So, he got a week of early access. And he’s delaying his entry to give others a fair chance to practice.

That’s the thing with rapidly developing technologies. The established methods of curating and regulating them often fall behind as the technology advances beyond it.
