My absolute favorite, and one of my favorite books period, is King’s “The Stand.” A post-apocalyptic story that you cannot believe was written in 1978, still really prescient and one of the great precursors of the post-apocalyptic genre boom.

The Shining is a must—the movie pales in comparison to the writing and suspense in the book. My all time favorite novel of his.

You clearly value your time much less than some of us. I schedule my flights to get to my destination as early as possible and get home as late as possible. A few hundred dollars would not be worth the inconvenience of altering my designed time frames.
