PCs are so convenient to travel with.

With the prices of “gaming” laptops with discrete graphics finally reaching the $600-1k price range, it makes eGPU’s kind of a tough argument for modest gaming needs, particularly if it sounds like you’re not getting 1:1 performance of the card itself due to connection bottlenecking.

Invert Y!

Woot for trackball! I’ve used the various versions of Logitechs trackman marble going all the way back to DN3D and Quake*.

When I go out, I see so many unmasked people. Both young and old. It’s a shame. I was at a home improvement center and an older, unmasked guy is standing right behind me, putting his stuff on the checkout counter (actually blocking the credit card reader which I needed to use) I turned around and calmly said, “hey, I

It’s not really a software/hardware issue. Those aspects are cheaper than the real problem, the licensing cost to use the patents involved.

If they don’t figure out something with the licensing being cost prohibitive, they’re going to have the same piss poor adoption rate as h.265.

I’m not sure you’re understanding 4K correctly. A “2K” (1080p) TV has 1920 columns and 1080 rows (what you’re calling “lines”). A “4K” TV has 3840 columns and 2160 rows. An “8K” TV has 7680 columns and 4320 rows.

to help cool the wearer’s body temperature by as much as 23 degrees Fahrenheit on hot days.”

I got pretty excited about this until I read the following:

Maybe it’s the temperature around your body? Like if it’s 100 degrees outside, it cools down to about 77 degrees in the shirt.

It’s a cool idea and my sweaty ass sure needs something like this for the walk to work. However, either is something is lost in translation or a decimal point is missing, or those temperature raising or lowering numbers are wildly made up. The temperature range in which your body functions is about 95-105 F, so I

Spoken like someone who has never had a job that required them to work outside in the sweltering heat.

More like a cool-swappable battery pack, and I’ll see myself out, thanks.

I tried to waffle a peep for easter and it did not go well, even with freezing it first :(

Never had to work outside for a few hours in 100+ degree heat, have you?

Just tried this. Took only about 5 minutes total and loved the crunchy outside with the soft centers. I use Nathan onion rings and they are thick and perfect for this hack. Great idea!

A) I have to say I am totally on board with the verbing of the word “waffle.”

Will it Waffle Iron? These onion rings could use a good Waffle Ironing.
