Two-factor gives you a notification that an unauthorized party has broken your login/password. That is perhaps the most useful part of two-factor. If I receive an inexplicable SMS from Amazon or Google with an authorization code, I know that I must take steps to change my password on the service right away.

I use KeePass, which is also only local. It takes a bit more work to keep in sync between my phone and my computer, but it’s not much of a problem overall.
