Charcoal is wonderful, but you know what else is pretty good? Turning a knob, pressing a button, and having a hot grill ten minutes later and then not having to deal with a cauldron of ashes a couple hours after the meal. That’s decent, too.

Did he claim to be one? It seems like he’s pretty evenly addressing a controversy and apologizing for insensitive jokes, as well as trying to distance himself from extremists and literal Nazis. Those are all pretty normal things for a person to do if they get in that situation.
I feel like the lede here should be “Conor Oberst was falsely accused of rape, and OH HEY uses the opportunity when asked about it to be publicly compassionate toward women who’ve been assaulted.”
