Unpleasant, but I can't see what's wrong here. The victim refused to cooperate with prosecutors, repeatedly. The alternative was to let the case collapse and allow the rapist to go free which would have made an even bigger headline.

There are plenty of safe brands. The go-to experts for almost forty years have been Good Vibrations. The people at Jimmy Jane have a lot of excellent innovative designs. There's even a no-nonsense weekly comic with reviews, Oh Joy, Sex Toy.

It looks like they already exist.
