This is what happens when you're impatient. I got me a Nexus 5 and running it on Straight Talk. I may have to order the X and test the phone AND networks head to head...

Glacier makes sense for smaller data sets. But >1TB with different data types, things can get complex real fast. It's just that glacier isn't a backup — it's an archive. And as an archive, recovery performance is always going to suffer.

I'm a long time keyboard shortcut user, I find it much more comfortable than using a mouse; Ctrl + F8 lets you access the right side of the menu bar (or whatever it's called, the one with sound and wifi) on OS X. Quicksilver works great for launching apps with keyboard "triggers", could never get an equivalent to work

Soap, hot water and a little elbow grease accomplishes much...

Check out the Chrome extension Vimium for a similar experience. It is inspired by Linux program, vim. Love it, especially on my netbook. It makes for a better experience than using the trackpad.

My child doesn't have one of those.

No wonder my coffee tastes weird. My grinder never gives out nickels.

Brush your teeth in the shower!

Floss while you poop. FWYP. It's the only way.

I've used Rasterbator many times to decorate my walls or HUGE walls in my studio, and it always gave me fantastic, awe-inspiring results. You can use it online or download it for free. The program creates a tiled image (your input can be any size and resolution), where you can set the number of paper sheets you want

I have a pretty heavy gear back, and it came with cheap wheels. One of them broke off, so I knocked the other off, bought a £7 kids skateboard and drilled the trucks into the bag, works like a charm!

My favorite DIY this past year was remodeling my piano room (did most of the house, but this was the first room tackled).

My happy accident helped me to land my current dream job/career. I received an email asking if I knew of anyone looking for employment—and even though I was happy at my (then) current job, I was like, "What the heck! Nothing beats failure but a try." I'm so glad I did! :-)

See also, every politician ever. Always moving, never acting.

You say this phenomenon effects "smart people." Yet it sounds like business as usual for Congress.
