Tomb Raider surpassed my expectations. The early games felt like weak stories used to justify large puzzles and endless platforming, and the more recent sequels just tried too hard to get "dark". The reboot hit just the right balance for me, and I appreciated that they avoided making her a damsel without just…
They forgot the part where finding food in random objects somehow doesn't kill you in video games.
Could I get bigots kicked out of a game by citing that "Think of the kids!" bullshit? If someone cites their religion as a reason for their complaint about someone who's not harming them, can I tell security I don't want kids to have to be exposed to that person?
Thank you for making the perfect argument against religion. If God is inherently unknowable, then there is no infallible way to know His will. If there is no way to know the will of God, any person or story claiming to know it can be dismissed as unreliable at best. The claims that we are to worship God? Why? To an…
I could shit on my keyboard and still be adding more to this discussion than your whining.
They service our buildings at work.
On this same page, in another comment thread, it's already been shown how completely ignorant/stupid people like you are. There are various ways you can differ from XX/ XY, without even getting into the differences between biological sex and gender.
Also, the games were incredibly corrupt from early on. While there are rumors of vote fixing now, athletes would pretty much openly bribe, cheat, and even take whatever was said to enhance performance. It was a given that at least one sport would have been paid for by someone.
I don't want to get too specific, so as to avoid spoilers, but the Fremen were pushing that for a reason outside of their own conscious goals. Their entire culture was essentially shaped from without for a particular purpose. Reading the series in a broader political context actually makes for a bit of an…
If I'm not mistaken, didn't a not-too-long-ago study find that a majority of our politicians in Congress are actually functionally illiterate? So just requiring the ability to read an entire book would get rid of at least half of them.
I don't how how you follow up dlc like TTAoDK. It was pretty much a perfect coda for the game. Anything else has to really bring something new to be worth dropping the money, especially with how "meh" the other dlc was.
I think Bill's primarily hoping to appeal to those who might be on the fence, putting the knowledge out there for those not so deeply devoted to bullshit.
"Phrasing."
"He remembers me!"
I think it looks great. But again, it doesn't matter what I think about her hair, because it's her hair and thus her decision. Were she to suddenly go Scientologist and start proselytizing, I'd have second thoughts, but she can do what she wants with her appearance.
Chrichton was a pretty good example of that, I think. Wormhole knowledge, Scorpius, etc...all the things he had in his head, at the end he's still fundamentally human. He's still our cipher for understanding the universe in which he's found himself.
You believe you have the right to live (or so I assume).
I figured he was talking about the person applying the pressure, as opposed to the changes in temperature doing it.
She wasn't even asking for a paycheck for it. She was going to do it all for the Newkie.
