Oh, yes. I think that Valley and Mammoth are both excellent intros to sex. (Clan of the Cave Bear... not so much.) They are maybe crappy intros to relationships — Jondalar is a jealous putz — but they were essentially an intro to sex for me and I came away with the understanding that sex was about pleasure for both

I’m in my mid 40s and like a lot of folks, I learned about sex from Jean Auel. Also, my mom’s hidden romance novels. I remember one in particular — the Wolf and the Dove.

We don’t have them, at all! We do have lots of baked goods and it’s reasonable to assume someone, somewhere, makes a buttery oat blondie (blondie = brownie without chocolate, the closest I can approximate to a flapjack) but it is not common at all.

I CAN HELP! For my job, one of the things I do is translate from Brit to American and back. Beyond the obvious (pants/underwear, sidewalk/pavement) Here are some wacky things I’ve learned speaking with my British colleagues:

Sure. Let’s see... There’s a rare white rhino that’s just been born in the Bronx Zoo and a impotent plutocrat who really WANTS THAT HORN. It becomes a cat and mouse game between our Fish and Wildlife Agent and the poacher who wants the big pay day. An individual.

Cyber crime is also a great option — our hero and

Of course it’s possible! Our protagonist is racing against a [terrorist cell, gang, corporation, corrupt politician, misguided crusader, shadowy conspiracy] to retrieve a stolen [bioweapon. Nukes. Dirty bomb. Regular bomb. Chemical weapons] that [bad guy] wants to use to wipe out [a city, a country, island, train,

Trump’s election is both cause andsymptom. His accident presidency has empowered a nasty strain of evil that was semi hidden in our society. Those that were ashamed before feel like they can just ‘be honest’ and those that were previously overt feel more free to give into their violent impulses.

Amen!

My aunt had thyroid cancer in the 1970s. Her doctor told her husband but not my Aunt.. didn’t want to upset her. Said they were removing the thyroid was because of an infection or something. She died never knowing she’d had cancer once. It was a bad time still.

I don’t say it unless I know the recipient celebrates it. And I’d get my panties in a bunch f someone said it agressively to a non practitioner because it’s a Trumpian move.

And maternal death rates! Mommas die are ridiculously high rates here.

I did know all those things. (I researched the crap outta my pregnancy.) And I think of those things every time another GOP man restrict my access to birth control or abortions. They want to kill me.

When you’re not in any kind of a professional setting, not even hanging out with coworkers at a bar after work. When there is no structural power imbalance. When you have obtained full consent before hand.

A federal lawyer, speaking for the administration about the case, justified it’s position by saying that they’re ‘trying to promote childbirth.’ Margaret Atwood was right.

Gods, yes. I am so sick of the boomers.

Honestly? I think you’re wildly optimistic. I think we need to write them all off.

Once a month on FB, I post that Trump’s ratings have stayed steady at about 40 percent since April. I feel like it’s important to understand that these are lost creatures, unreachable by any logic, empathy or morals. We need to acknowledge that they are lost and enact consequences.

Not really... no. I mean, he did evolve and eventually came to realize that a lot of his earlier work was, in fact, racists AF. An example: To Think I Saw It All on Mulberry Street had a bright yellow, pigtailed, horrible caricature of an Asian person that closely resembled the prpropaganda work he was doing at the

Here’s a thing. The minute you say ‘lighten up,’ you’ve lost all credibility. Because what you’re saying is, ‘i have determined that you emotions are not the valid response to this situation.’ you don’t get to tell people what their emotions are. Cause you’re not a mind reader.

She’s close enough to my hometown that I might drop by to high five her. Cambridge has ALL the money. They don’t need more resources. Poor kids in Dorchester, Lynn and Lowell do.
