Leather and nav under $30,000? I’ll believe it when I see it. At that price point, there’s a good argument for one of these over a GTI if you’re looking for a small versatile car and are willing to trade some sportiness for some luxury.

Sure- it was fairly old, but like I said it was in pretty great shape and was a single-owner car until I bought it. I’m not salty about it- that car gave me many great drives and lots of fun memories.

Yup, this was a ‘99 and the fact that it was a base model helped too. Manual trans, casette player and hand-crank windows. The standard “SL” model doesn’t show up in most mechanic’s databases because so few of them were bought- most people at least got the CD player in the SL-1.
