Just checked with BMW. They say that $2500 is correct. Per seat, of course.

Also, because scientific equipment often doesn't have control/analysis software that's easily portable between OSes. Older computers also often have input ports which have become "obsolete" and don't appear on newer computers, like serial/RS232 which is very widely used to control advanced scientific equipment.

Agreed, but the idea is that contaminants will only bind to the outside of carbon particles. By coating an inert substance (like sand) with carbon, you get all of the surface area without all that "wasted" interior carbon, thereby using much less carbon to get the same filtering effect.

Rice-developed. Meaning developed at Rice. The university. "Rice researchers" might be easy to misconstrue, but at least Lily had the courtesy to capitalize it.

Just what this floating deathtrap needs: MOAR POWAR!

Cool product, but it seems expensive for a basket of bent metal, though working in a company that produces a lot of small-run specialty items, I understand the associated costs.

This post brought a sliver of sunshine to the dried up burnt-BLT-crust that is my heart.

Are you kidding? They would love it. Everyone knows the TSA has never found anything actually dangerous on anyone, ever.

Glad to see all the love for the MX518. Definitely my favorite mouse of all time. I wonder, though, why people seem to think it's dead or retired? They're still sold on newegg for goodness sakes, to say nothing of Amazon and a million other retailers. I just bought my second and one for the wife, since she's now

Second for Portal. If you listen to the commentary, a fantastic amount of the developer's energy was devoted to TEACHING the player how to play the game. This was primarily for the purpose of helping them figure out the new game mechanic of portals, but the system lends itself to new gamers in that the difficulty

I'd be amazed if it was anything other than the standard DDoS via LOIC. Not really impressive, just annoying I guess.

Looks pretty solid, though I think you've got a wide choice of video cards if you don't want to wait for that particular one to come back into stock. I personally haven't had good luck with two AsRock mobos in the past but I don't accept anecdotal evidence as fact and neither should you- it has good reviews overall

I daresay cast iron pans are not a niche product. They're simply the best way to transfer lots and lots of heat into whatever you're cooking, bar none. It's my go-to pan, works for almost any kind of meal. I even bake my bread on it.

That would be the title of the article: "I Wish I Could Fly an F-15 Around the Last Shuttle Launch." Of course, there's no date on anything besides the tweet linking this pic, so the author could have meant the most recent shuttle launch, as in "Do you remember that last shuttle launch? Yea, it was the one that

I had a little hot fudge carnage in my pants when I heard that rusty slammington had been incinerated.

There's a red C5 Corvette 'round these parts with OMGWEEE on it. Makes me chuckle every time

FTA: "Here's a photo of him at Sebring in 2006. Don't worry, though the picture is five years old it's not like he's put on a lot of weight or anything."

THANK YOU! This is an extremely common misconception. I'm only sorry that you posted this first while I was out grabbing the justification. For more, see [en.wikipedia.org] Yay!

Took me a second. Clearly I'm not the most observant article reader. Awesome.
