That's the thing, though; if Sony or Microsoft try to make some massive technical jump for their next systems, I think Developers are going to abandon them completely. It's already a common complaint that it takes far too much time and money to develop for the existing consoles.

True, but the problem is that the tools you use to develop are going to need to be replaced or, at best, expanded. It's the reason that most studios don't jump back and fourth between 3D games and 2D games very often; it's better for a studio to establish its tools, look to make the most of them, and then make games

They actually do make some valid points. Still, I think the Wii U could be a very powerful console — if Nintendo plays it right. They need to really go out of their way to encourage Developers and Publishers to support their platform, not turn away talent because they don't have already-established brands.

You know, honestly, I personally think the biggest thing the Wii U has going for it, is that the cost of development isn't going to skyrocket, as it kind of did with this last generation. I think they really need to play that aspect up; that, unless there is a *SIGNIFICANT* jump in technology, most developers are

Their warranties don't cover physical damage? So they cover, like... emotional damage?

Yeah, I think the PS2 was the first system I really remember having *THAT* big a launch! Maybe it's just because it was the first system to release when having access to the internet had become the norm, but there were people going NUTS over that thing!

Has it? Sounds reasonable, I just don't recall seeing it anywhere. Still, very awesome idea; I would be *ALL* over it, if something like Guild Wars 2 or Phantasy Star Online 2 made it to the Wii U!

Honestly, I always loved the Indigo color. By far my favorite color of any console, though, was the "Atomic Purple" Game Boy Color. That thing was pure swag!

Anyone else think he looks remarkably young? Then again, maybe I just look prematurely "old"; I'm only 24, yet people constantly guess me to be early-30's. Still not quite sure how to take that.

It's kind of interesting, isn't it? As simple a gesture as it was, it really has a profound impact. She delivered a deeply moving speech, and by acknowledging that this was a part of this man's life, this may well be the first clearly-defined moment that we've moved beyond the term "gamer" as a label, and simply as

Oh, thank god! Those stupid ads on the 360 dashboard make me want to chuck the whole system out the window, every time I see them. Glad to see Ninty avoiding that cash-grab.

That would be useful, sure, but if you've played many MMO's, you also know that, aside from the Guild Wars games, there are *WAY* too many abilities to properly fit on a controller. By assigning your "normal attacks/actions" to the Controller, and your long-cooldown or rarely-used abilities to the Touch-screen, it

I think the idea is best summarized as: I don't know.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested this; being able to incorporate MMO-style combat into the Wii U's controller.

Okay, why in the *HELL* aren't all of those cords Black, in the Deluxe Set? It's a boring-ass color anyways, but the least you could do is make the shit match.

Honestly, the issue is that we, as human-beings, still have no idea how the hell we're supposed to raise kids. We all have general beliefs — that they should be respectful, hard-working, honest, preferably friendly — but we all have radically different ideas of how to accomplish those things.

I'm still hoping they get Mega Man. Capcom has already said they might be on-board with the idea, but that they're waiting on Nintendo to contact them.

The problem is, Nintendo has covered practically all of their IP's. The only realistic additions at this point are different Pokemon.

Well, I think subscription-based games are fine, but nobody is ever going to pay for more than a single subscription (any many gamers are hesitant to do even that). World of Warcraft is still king, and as long as it continues to perform at the level it is, I don't forsee another subscription-based game being able to

Ugh, I'm still baffled by their boring choice in colors. Why not just launch with several colors to choose from? Like I said before; Orange or Purple would be sexy as hell.
