I'm... actually okay with this. Like others have pointed out, Saint's Row 3 was fantastic, but felt a little unpolished at times. If given the time to refine it, though, I could see Saint's Row 4 being one of the finer titles on the console.

I actually rather enjoyed Doom. Granted, I would've rather the *ENTIRE* movie revolve around The Rock, and his blowing shit up... but it wasn't bad. Like the games, it was pure Velveeta the whole way through, but in a charming, 80's kind of way.
Hoooooooooooooooooly shit, Double-stuff Peanut Butter Oreos? Are you goddamn shitting me?
Golden Oreos, Double-stuff Oreos, and Peanut Butter Oreas are all amazing.
I have it on good authority that 95% of women are, in fact, secretly sexy latex-wearing assassins.
That's what the topic is about, though; if a game isn't ultraviolent, then it doesn't often get treated as a "real game". I agree, being a big-budget game doesn't immediately make it better, but you rarely see indie or small studios build a game as satisfying as those I mentioned before.
There are a lot of non-violent games, sure, but how many of them are actually any good? I don't think the issue is even small amounts of violence, so much as the blood (and usually cursing) that comes with it today.
So true. I think people undervalue that certain games just actually make you happier for playing them, just like music.
I'm the exact same. As a kid, I preferred everything to be "Mature", but as I got older, I came to realize that those aren't necessarily "realistic" pictures being painted; they were just dark. I'd much prefer to play light-hearted games that, even after I get done playing, make me actually feel good.
Yeah, he's just saying that there isn't really any variety. I'm not opposed to playing violent games, but a change of pace is nice now and again. What's more, there are very few family-friendly games that are actually any fun, which is very concerning. Whenever I have a child, I would like to share my love of…
I'll be honest, I actually liked the look of Watch Dogs before the "action sequence" anyways. Not because of its being too violent, though; I was just hoping it would be more of a puzzle-solving game.
Yeah, you definitely can't disregard the fact that this point of view greatly benefits him. Still, though, I would have to agree on some level; I think it's good to have diversity, but there's definitely not a whole lot of quality family-friendly gaming these days.
I think that's a pretty one-sided look at things. Look at Portal; there was very little violence in that game, and it is arguably one of the most renowned video games in the past decade. Hell, even playing Paintball, you're using guns, but not everyone plays with the intent to "pretend-kill" someone else, so much as…
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
Yeah, having to explicitly choose a Class is going to suck. I always liked combining Magic (mostly Conjuration and some protections) with Melee, which I fear isn't going to be present.
I'm with the author here when it comes to MMO's. If I'm not staying preoccupied, it's not worth it.
Hmm, very interesting. Definitely interested to check it out.
President Bush was, for a time, the face of the United States, our Leader. Very few people seemed fond of him, and I certainly wasn't, but I'm of the belief that some things in life still deserve to be treated with a certain amount of respect.
Hooooooooooooooooooly shit, I think I'm gonna have to get in on this action! Playable Kid Goku? YES PLEASE!!!
Eh, I've still not seen this show. Is it really that good?
