Same concern I have. The game looks like a blast, I just hope they don't get too crazy with what you can buy. They can go nuts with cosmetic stuff, I just hope it's nothing that upsets the balance of the game.
The game's looking good. I am curious how much customization you'll have over your mechs, and hopefully they can introduce a few levels that maybe have a bit more color.
It's really sad to see Platformers are basically all but dead. Sadder still, Naughty Dog, one of the heavy-hitters in the genre, doesn't seem to place much value in their own successful series.
I COMPLETELY agree! The first Jak & Daxter game was just really charming, and had some absolutely beautiful landscapes. Jak II just tried way too hard to be "edgy", I think, and it never really sat right with me hearing them all cursing just to try to be "mature".
Jak & Daxter were hardly garbage, and Naughty Dog also made Crash Bandicoot in the generation before that. The Jak series was certainly never as big as Uncharted, though, but I think you could definitely argue that the first two Crash Bandicoot games were on up there at the time.
Who is that?
Iron Maiden cover? I thought we all agreed, he was Casey Jones?
I'm willing to give a pass to cosmetic-only features (although I still think it's kind of creepy), but gun-unlocks just feel unfair. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, for example, gives 8 unique guns to their Collector's Edition; to me, that's just unacceptable. Worse than anything, though, is On-Disc…
Agreed, and that's really the *point* of "Speak-Up"; to let us, Commenters, debate with one another.
So, so true. My own story, for example, was I was bored one weekend and decided to go pick up a game. I couldn't find anything of interest, and I happened to see "inFamous" sitting on the shelf. It didn't look particularly interesting, but since the used copy was cheap, I figured it was worth throwing a few bucks away…
Preach on, brotha. Preach on.
I'm all for buying a game new, but Pre-order and Collector's Edition-exclusive content is where I draw the line.
Mike Fahey didn't actually write the article, a user did on the "Speak-Up" forum.
I think the moral of the story is Hackers are a bunch of goddamn assholes. At least, the ones who steal other peoples' information. The ones that hack to cheat in video-games... not for me, but hey, go nuts as far as I'm concerned!
Vigil Games is owned by THQ as well, right? Didn't the first Darksiders actually sell really, really well? I would assume the second would sell even better, given that the former lacked polish (even though I loved it).
But will it have the super-sexy Nymphs that Origins brought us?
On the plus side, at least you have the extra time to hone your skills!
For PvE, I mean; I've never been much of a PvP'er, so I don't even pretend to know what is or isn't balance, lol.
Honestly, I subscribed, but... I'm already bored as hell with the game. People don't like grinding for the sake of grinding, and The Old Republic is really behind the times in that regard.
