Given the series' obvious affection for musical names, I actually thought it was a really, really good idea; plus, it made the bosses seem a bit more personal.

Nice, that's really impressive actually! Any tips if I was looking to do something similar? Not digging either of the default colors, and yours just looks fantastic :)
I'm telling you, if they splashed some Orange on there (but keep the buttons, Dpad, and analog Red), it's be perfect for a Metroid-bundle :D
Indeed, I think being so old and used kind of adds to it; definitely not one I'd have normally thought of :D
Oh my god, I know; you're right, those red boxes were nothing short of 'magical'! As well, Special Items having those Bold yellow, Caps-lock names, plus all those stars... Good god, just thinking about it makes me want to play it again.
It looks... promising, but I'm still not quite sold on it yet. The characters' armor looks right, but their faces scream "generic anime character", while those swords look awfully ridiculous (which I suppose was part of the original PSO, but not necessarily one of its better aspects).
Very interesting article. Honestly, I've bee wondering about this myself; if Nintendo's "Wii2" is only *as* powerful as the 360 or PS3, I foresee them getting dusted yet again, in terms of 3rd party support. However, if they can go even a *bit* higher end (or, God willing, support Blu-ray), I think they could really…
Ugh, as much as I want to play this game... that music just isn't at the level it needs to be. For one of the most defining games of all time, they couldn't afford to redo the music with *actual* instruments? :*(
Thank you, Fahey; I'm glad somebody recognizes how awesome, if flawed, Psi-Ops was. I was actually surprised they didn't try to incorporate him into the new Mortal Kombat, given A) He would fit right in, and B) Scorpion was even playable in his game.
Ugh, so true. I still remember thinking how awesome the name "Dolphin" was >_<
The huge-boobs may not be what one would call "beautiful", but they certainly catch the eye, just in the same way every single character is sporting a six-pack and massive, massive arms.
The "PSPwii" looks the most like I envision, but still uncomfortable. Judging from what I've been reading, it sounds more like it's going to be a controller with a screen, rather than a tablet with buttons/sticks.
Honestly, I think it's because when there were only 151, you could get to a point you remembered them all. With 646, there's no way you can remember them all, and really have a feel for their designs and style.
Alright, people; can we quit acting like over-sexified women are the worst thing in the world, here? For one, it's not like every single male character isn't sporting a ridiculous physique of his own. But this is also a game where you're fucking cutting people in half, breaking teeth, ripping them apart, and all kinds…
I don't know if you can feel this, but I'm giving you a high-five right now. Through the internet.
Honestly, I've been waiting for a controller-mounted screen ever since the Dreamcast, as it opens up endless possibilities. Take card games, for example; how nice will it be to be able to just play it on a couch? Breaking out a set of chips every time you want to play poker is a lot of work, and sometimes you only…
Looks pretty interesting, but that logo is irritating the shit outta me; way too similar to the WoW logo.
I dunno, I thought she kinda added something to Sonic CD. And, honestly, she was fun as hell in Sonic Advance 1 (which was the only game I cared for).
I can honestly say that's probably the best thing I've read so far this year. Well played, sir; well played.
Totally, totally agreed. Even the bad Sonic games actually look pretty good when the levels are blurring by you; hopefully they can position the camera slightly differently, to keep the sense of speed, but give more sense of control
