@Antiterra: Exactly. I don't think it's that Westerners *love* western RPG's, simply that many JRPG's are sticking to a formula that *was* successful, without really changing or adding anything to it.

I'm going to have to vote...

I was hoping her "cameo" would be in the form of Team Ninja issuing an apology, "We're sorry we ruined this potentially interesting and compelling character. Other M is officially non-canon."

@Vidikron: Yeah, it'll definitely be interesting. I have to admit, I'm going to hold-out in hopes they introduce a more pants-friendly 3DS model within the next year; the fact that I'm saying that, as a fairly hardcore gamer, doesn't bode well.

@Vidikron: Good point; I didn't even consider iTunes. Still, the DSi supports music (though it's fairly restrictive atm), which is at least mildly notable.

@Vidikron: Surprising to hear about the touch screen getting so scuffed up; I get pretty "into it" on the touch screen, and mine seems to work fine. No idea.

@RDRR: Indeed, convenience is the SINGLE biggest issue here. It's kind of a shame the PSPGo was such a failure, because I found it extremely comfortable in my hands, and it easily fit in my pocket, along with the iPhone.

@Vidikron: If you go with an iPod Touch, though, then they immediately lose the single compelling feature of Apple vs Nintendo; the phone-aspect.

@Theoutlet: There are two major issues with the iPhone, though; cost and durability.

I dunno about you guys, but after having an iPhone for a year or so, I'm just not that impressed with it anymore.

@Almost-Naked-Abe: Interesting stuff; makes a lot of sense, actually. Still kind of sad, though :(

I think there is a big difference with today's games, though; namely that most consoles only have two or three Exclusives, so all you really *have* is comparing which console you think is "better".

Anyone else think Mr. Alighieri looks an awful lot like Akuma?

Wow...

Preach on, sista. Preach on.

@HeartBurnKid: Agent of R.O.A.C.H.: I disagree; I think it would be a difficult fix, but the idea has merit. Maybe have the top portion of the mouse be a "shell", and the bottom just slides out from under it; giving a flat, albeit still-very-small controller?

Great concept, bad execution; still, it's a start. The thing *looks* fantastic; I would almost pick it up purely to use as a mouse (and in fact, probably would, if my current mouses dies, as it would match my laptop perfectly).

@SorcererLance: Hoooooly shit, X looks awesome there. Where's that from?
