I played with a local play group in Lake County, Illinois who held little tournaments. When I say I played it competitively, I regularly had multiple opponents and there would occasionally be money matches. There was no real scene for Dissidia afaik

I will preface this by saying that I have no valid claim to African ancestry (I think I’d have to go back over 500 years), so I might be wrong here when talking about the uh...”merits” (?) of the meme.

They don’t have something like Xrd where you can buy a pack of colours for 10,000 in-game currency? It’s an alternative to fishing if you really just want to spruce up a specific character

The reason why the joke characters were so prevalent in Budokai and the like was because they weren’t meant to be balanced fighters anyway, and they were easy to make seeing as it was just different textures on a handful of models. Also, I mean, in terms of meaningful battles who are they really missing? Android

As someone who used to play Dissidia competitively (mains were Gabranth, Jecht, and Squall), this beta completely turned me off from getting the game. Dodges were tight, the attacks fit the character, and it offered enough customization to give you new ways to play your character without breaking anyone. Now? There

Whenever I hear an argument similar to that it makes me want to gag (I know you’re kidding). “I miss when it used to be okay to drop racist jokes and demean women without getting offended blah blah blah”. Just because the law or people in power said it’s okay, doesn’t actually make it okay. I feel like usually most

Not the good Fire Emblems at least.

As opposed to..?

You can go through most of the game without ever doing a single random battle. You do this by replacing battles with card games, earning cards you turn into items which you can turn into magic. Beating Ultimecia at level 10 is a little tradition I do every year

This is an important point to distinguish between loot boxes and magic cards.

There should be some kind of policy for that sort of thing in the industry. If a game has microtransactions, it shouldn’t cost anything to buy or it should be at a very low price. For every player that doesn’t buy any of the microtransactions, there’s going to be someone like Kensgold that pays out way more than

Notice how in fighting game tournaments most if not all players are using headsets? It’s not just to drown out noise, being able to react to sounds eases the burden on your eyes and visual-based reflexes.

This has been something bugging me since I’ve been a kid playing these games and watching those anime. It just pulls me straight out of the experience when I’m constantly asking myself “wait...do we really need this?”

Makes sense to me, you have a game that’s been worked on for almost 10 years that’s heavily story-driven. Why would you, as a developer, want people to stream past a certain point in the game? Forget ATLUS’ marketing department, think of the actual game creators. The game just came out, give it some time to settle and

Very simply, in no uncertain terms, you are pulling support for this game because of this event.

Elixirs in clocks symbolize how time heals all wounds

My problems with Tri-Ace games is that apart from special effects and how the gameplay feels, they try too hard on everything and end up generic. The motion capture always bugs me, like it’s some over eager person being told to over exaggerate every motion. Then the characters and plot are just so many unbelievable

I’m in an inter-racial relationship that’s been going 10 months strong and her parents don’t approve of me because I’m not filipino. It sucks because she’s going to uni right now and her parents are literally paying for everything she needs and she’s an only child so it’s to the point where she hasn’t even been able

Star Ocean 4 is literally the only game I have thrown in the garbage after 22 years of gaming. It is my subjective experience that tri-ace doesn’t know wtf they’re doing and I still want my money back for infinite undiscovery. Almost killed jrpgs for me.
