As someone that is a casual fan of hockey, can someone tell me what happened to the US this Olympics? Four years ago, they were an OT goal from the gold medal and now they aren't even in the discussion. Did key players decide to sit this one out as often happens in basketball?

Yes. A competition warrior just like the Canadian boarders that called him out publicly. I have no idea what kind of person Shawn White is. If he's an arrogant prick, then that puts him in the company of just about every other professional athlete in the world. But the point is that if you are going to publicly call

I always find it funny when someone is called a corporate sellout by his peers. The same peers that know damn well they wouldn't turn down the cash if it were offered to them.

The instant I saw this commercial I knew that this article would be here. I have no problem with naming and shaming stupid people saying stupid things on twitter, but it is without a doubt the lowest hanging of the fruit.

If that were captured by a still photographer instead of network television camera, it would be applauded as a "powerful" image and possibly be up for awards. The irony.

Outchea = "Out here"

The only thing worse that competitive gamers are competitive gamers that insist on calling competitive gaming "E-sports".

Cri-ket?

He would be more preferable than Drew Davis after the five turnstiles they call an O-line land Matt Ryan in the hospital.

Gatorade makes a green lime-cucumber flavored drink. No shit. It's surprisingly refreshing.

The biggest highlight was Collinsworth abandoning the yard with this gem:

Much funnier when you imagine Emmett Smith saying it.

Sadly, it's standard operating procedure when it comes to big programs and the local media. They are usually nothing more that cheerleaders and sycophants exactly because of things like this.

Yes, totally Charlie's fault that a roster full of injury prone thirty-somethings played like a bunch of injury prone thirty-somethings.

On the bright side, with eyes that close together, the state will only need to issue him half a pair of goggles in the prison machine shop.

+1 outstanding

I totally agree. It seems like ambivalence is not enough. Athletes now must use all of the proscribed incantations when speaking of Collins or risk being labeled as a bigot or homophobe.

And on the other side of the coin, refusing to express an opinion on it either way seems to be enough to get labeled as a homophobe. The Chicago Tribune is using that very McCarthy-esque tactic on Lance Briggs as we speak.

"Hell No! We WILL Go!!!"

And here is where we all ridicule Jason Terry for the unpardonable sin of trying to contest a basket.
