Season 6 was dumb in general. The final twist was the mere exclamation point from the surmounting problems with every new episode.

Here’s how seriously apathetic Scandal has made me. I just realized two episodes were in my Hulu queue. Anyway, this was a snoozer, mainly because Scandal doesn’t play death this straight and somber. Not like those jurors on the bus, or Fitz’s son. Even Harrison didn’t get the post-mortem Quinn honor in the season 4…
As someone who read half of the Animorphs series, the PS1 game hurt my grade school soul.
Zeus was incredible. Both as a player and as a commentator.
I decided to skip the Dark Souls 3 run for now (I just started playing the game, so I didn’t want to ruin it for myself), but watching go through Bloodborne was magical. However, even he wasn’t immune to Ludwig’s crazy ass quick attacks during his first phase.…
Arabian Nights had me in tears by the end.
Count me among those Em fans scratching his head about the sudden praise for Relapse. With the exception of “Deja vu”, “Beautiful”, and maybe “Insane”, that album was very forgettable. Almost as lackluster as Encore. Recovery and MMLP2 were much better.
Uh, Eminem did finally resolve his mommy issues on the track “Headlights” from his last album. Actually, much of MMLP2 had Eminem reflecting on the good, bad, and ugly of his entire discography, and coming to terms with how oddly out of place he feels in today’s social media world, compared to his late 90s/early 2000s…
Holy fuck, that vid made me cry like I watched Mufasa die for the first time.
That’s more-or-less how I felt. Justice League is by no means as good as the Avengers 1 or Captain America: Civil War, or Wonder Woman, but there’s nothing offensively bad about it, like how Batman vs. Superman came off to many (disclaimer: I haven’t watched BvS yet). At the very least, the cast of heroes and their…
Ashley, I’m not one to poke at your illogical Fitz hate, but really? He tried to get Olivia to not do things like, oh I don’t know, blow up a jet with a foreign president and his niece, and simply blowing the whistle makes him a snitch? Well, better that than Olivia sanctioning international murder I guess. Again. And…
The bad guys are unquestionably bad, like one man who murders his way out of prison specifically to rape a young girl he’d been lusting after.
It was done more as a reaction to “Deflate-gate” than anything else. But yeah, it’s really tacky.
You don’t get scorched 45-7, because of slightly deflated footballs.
Indeed. The worst thing Fitz has objectively done was kill Verna in season two after she revealed Defiance on her death bed, but even that had some justification, since she tried to kill him with an assassin. Compared to Huck, Cyrus, Jake, Rowan, Charlie, even Olivia and Mellie...Fitz is morally light gray at worst.
The…
Agreed. As unlikable as Fitz can be on occasion, when he’s absent for a considerable length of time, Scandal suffers big time. Love him or hate him, Fitz has charisma, his chemistry with Olivia is always electrifying, and the conflicts his more insufferable qualities bring out the best in literally everyone else.
I…
It could also be kinja. At least with Disqus, I could see everyone’s commentary clearly and easily. I have to click through the kinja settings multiple times to do the same, and even with that, the “endless blog” style, coupled with the annoying pop-ups, means that I could easily get sent to the top of the page for no…
Sadly, that’s truth in television. At least in Scandal, a white woman didn’t have to die protesting a white supremacist march for Confederate statues to fall.
To be fair, Marcus only called Olivia a “ho” in relation to how she’s being reduced by everyone else, even Fitz. It doesn’t matter the level of accomplishments she managed to do over the series. Most people see her as a homewrecker. Fitz didn’t call her that, certainly, but he’s being reductive of her work, all the…
Marcus’s rant was the first time Scandal made me laugh in a long time, and for good reasons. He’s the bullshit alarm the show desperately needs, and it’s a shame he’s not deployed for this reason more often.
I agree. This episode was great, but the moment Papa Pope appeared, I groaned. Thankfully, he didn’t overstay his welcome, but yeesh. What a buzzkill.
First of all, there’s no such thing as an “objective” review, because reviews by their nature are the subjective thoughts of the author of the thing he/she is reviewing. An objective review would essentially be a point-by-point recap of the episode, and no one comes here for that on its own.
Just say that you don’t…
