This story fundamentally misunderstands how Box Office numbers work. Studios don’t get all that money. A film that cost $100m and earns $100m back at the BO, has lost at least $50m. NOT broken even as stated here over and over again.

I am sorry, buy you are absolutely wrong.
it's obviously bullshit from someone that hasn't watched the movie and just wants engagement
You do realise that argument holds about as much water as just saying “well Singapore is doing amazing, so authoritarian capitalism must be good” right?
So you’re saying people had to work a little harder to meet a deadline?!? Oh, no! Boycott! Boycott! Boycott!
“I disagree. Well, I agree that Ragnarok “had a few moments where comedy undercut the drama,” but I think that problem is waaay worse in Love and Thunder.”
It's classic sequelitis. Liked that thing from the first movie? Well, here's precisely that same thing...but more!

Brace yourselves, I preferred Thor 2 to Thor 3 and took one look at Thor 4 promotions and thought "Yeah, I'm not touching that."
Because he doesnt do hate speech, thats fucking bullshit. He’s allowed to do it because hes a great comedian.

To paraphrase Michael Jordan, conservatives watch TV too. Not every show needs to be bleeding heart liberal. (And I say that as a pretty liberal, registered Democrat).
So, a handful of writers sat out this episode and, as a result, it turned out to be the best of the season. If I were Lorne, I’d thank those writers for identifying themselves as the problem and give them their walking papers.
I expected it to be a liberal toilet in here, AV Club never disappoints...
I consider myself a bleeding heart liberal and I think Yellowstone is great. It’s Succession set in the West. Not everything needs to be political.

The flip side of “There’s dragons and orcs, why can’t there be Black people? This is a made up story and doesn’t represent reality, you can do whatever you want!” is “There’s dragons and orcs, why does there HAVE to be Black people? This is a made up story and doesn’t represent reality, you can do whatever you want!”
The truly baffling American desire to police other countries.

I don’t see the issue here. They had a creative vision and they’re doing it. As a brown POC and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it is not an artists responsibility to change their vision. Would the same be said if this was based in Japan? Would there then be an outcry for representation of different ethnicities…
As a PoC I don’t give a shit every human is Euro centric. Im upset that there isn’t one non human in the trailer besides the Summons. Wheres the moogles and other non human characters. Thats the type of Final Fantasy Diversity that matters here.
