While people want to think gender as ‘fluid’ however in reality, it is simply not the case. Biologically speaking, the purpose of living things is to conceive and multiply and keep their species alive.

Either you believe that it is not ok to take established 3p IPs and make them exclusive, in which case the only difference between Microsoft and Sony is that one has way more money than the other, or you’re ok with it, and again the only difference is that one company can afford to do it at a larger scale than the

I dislike exclusives in any context as much as the next guy, but there’s a significant difference between buying smaller studios and funding their new exclusive projects yourself (Sony) and buying juggernaut studios so you can lock down their already dominant IPs (MS).

So what? So Claire’s experience as queer isn’t the singular vision of the movie. I don’t know that means it won’t or can’t be folded into the film, and frankly neither does Claire.

It is always amusing when someone is completely unable to look outside their own experiences in an attempt to be critical.

Arguably, we’ve already had the “perfect” D&D movie thanks to Peter Jackson’s adaptations of The Lord Of The Rings in the 2000s—which, if I’m being honest, do chart a bit too close to “action movie” for my taste”

You do realize people could be outraged before social media? So the point still stands.

Setting aside Chappelle’s specific situation, this is a lesson that society as a whole would do well to absorb. Social media is not real life. Something “blowing up” on Twitter or Instagram still represents a tiny sliver of our 330 million population, and mostly the sliver that lives in their phones.

It’s almost as if people that are very loud on twitter are not the same people that buy tickets to comedy shows...

“punching down” applies when you focus only on marginalized targets that can’t fight back. What GTA does is far different, they come out swinging like a drunk in a bar brawl, they’re punching up at the government more than they’re punching down, but they’re throwing punches every which way. I don’t know how you can

Clickbaity pieces like this, which are de rigeur for Kotaku these days, do more harm to progressive causes than good.

“This is especially problematic because its real-world setting …”

I agree, this game about a cat doesn’t grapple enough with the REAL serious issues.

Geeze thank god it was a tabby and not a Siamese cat I guess.

I get it, this is under “opinion”, but wtf. Do you question why the cat can think like a human too (since we’re controlling him/her).

Kotaku, please put these motherfuckers in the grey.”

Ah, accuse me of stupidity because I dont share your socialistic world view. Foiled again Batman! Maybe you’re right. I will have to get a new brain and come back.

Im trying to keep the discussion within the realm of the subject. If you want to get into denigrating the country’s health care system, how political influence is handled etc etc, then Ill bow out now since you seem to want to go down the road of Millenial politics (Im trying not to get banned you see). Im not not

But it IS being made political by employees demanding a clearer stance on the issue. Said employees of course want the company to make a statement that derides the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. Im positing that perhaps the company is making a wiser choice by staying out of the entire issue. To insist on a clear stance

In spite of Leder’s comments intended to “reassure” employees about the company’s stance on reproductive healthcare, employees remain frustrated by what they see as an unwillingness to be clear and specific in its commitments.”
