It is pretty damn shameful you kicked the racial hive for no clear or discernable reason. Even the dev hinself says he does not feel that was a factor...

Oh, I know, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to call em out on it when it’s completely unnecessary, like in this (non) story.

Did the editors “request” the inclusion of race in this story?

Are you new here? Kotaku and all their sister sites are race baiters. To them, everything is about race and skin color or what genitals they have and what they like to stick them in, that’s all that matters, everything else is tertiary.

I can only imagine what it’s like for somebody to be referred to the “black” xyz instead of just xyz for no reason. Linking one’s physical appearance to their profession when it’s not relevant.   So weird.

In fairness to the developer himself, he specifically stated he didn’t think it had anything to do with his being black. It is a bit disingenuous the way Kotaku makes a big point of his race.

I know there’s a GIANT history of rich/big-name white creators stealing from smaller black creators, but this doesn’t seem like a case where that has to be in the goddamn title. It feels like rage bait.

Doesn’t look similar at all to what’s in the trailer.

*sigh* It’s claims like this that undermine legitimate complaints of artistic theft.

I’d say it’s “highly probable” that the developer saw a chance to get some articles written to promote his game,

I can say it didn’t look much like the trailer in the article, but I haven’t seen whatever other clips have been released on tiktok. I’d say it’s “highly probable” that the developer saw a chance to get some articles written to promote his game, whether or not it actually influenced the scene in the film.

It sure does seem you hate them...

Dude calm down, freedom of human speech is a basic human right.

I certainly am pro-choice, but I am also pro-talk and pro-respect. Silencing others cannot be the way to go forward. Ryan is absolutely right. I may hate anti-abortion assholes, but they are entitled to their opinion, and to voicing it.

Not picking sides is the definition of neutrality. Telling people to be respectful is all about controlling working conditions and atmosphere.

So the guy didn't take a side? Big deal. Why is being neutral an issue?

Should someone do those things to you if they disagree with your stance on an important issue? Difference of opinion does not mean hate. I have family members on both sides of the debate. The pro life side genuinely sees it as murder and thier religious beliefs drive them to fight against that. I’m not religious and I

They dont hate anyone. Some do sure but stop with the hyperbole. Im Pro Choice but i know some Pro Lifers and some have disdain for abortion sure but ive never heard anyone express hate or wish for death upon Pro Choice people.

As a general rule, you’re supposed to avoid discussing political topics in the workplace, even if you know the majority of your coworkers share your views.

You’d be shocked how many Pro-Life people have no problem with Roe v. Wade or Planned Parenthood.
