Cyberpunk 2077’s next-gen launch brings much-needed improvements, but CDPR has offered no vision of the game’s future

Same here, I’ve had it on my shelf waiting for this for over a year and now I have Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring coming in the next 2 weeks, great timing...

Love how they say aggregate websites are bullshit but that is the entire point of this article is summarizing other reviews.

So are we adding a section to the review scores for how much a game has potentially offensive material to hyper sensitive politically correct junkies?

It’s not solely a problem with Horizon Forbidden West, nor is it a problem limited to video games. You see it across popular genre fiction these days, as everything from Star Wars to the Marvel Cinematic Universe doubles down on plot over people, going so far as to fill in backstories for enigmatic characters who

As usual The Root has gone the way of Fox News for clicks and likes. Here is the actual story: The press trying to frame this is David Chapelle killing affordable housing for poor people. It’s not that simple. They offered a plan to get his $65 million investment, then switched up the project presumably to get tax

You write as if marginalized populations were, as a whole, very angry about what Critical Role is doing here. When the likelihood is that they overwhelmingly do not know about this and, were they to know, would not care. So why am I supposed to agree with people whose eagerness to be offended by this not not actually

So what is your solution, or is this just a criticism with no answer?

Yeah but there is no better that they can do. According to the author, the original cast is fundamentally incapable of doing right by any setting that isn’t traditional ‘European’ fantasy.

I understand people’s reticence to this, especially if you belong to the cultures this particular fantasy-inspired campaign exists in, but if your example boils down to them wearing some costumes in a silly promo piece that explorers used to wear, then that’s... not a lot.

No one is ‘so mad’, it’s just like 20 people on Twitter. I’ve seen just as many people be happy to be represented and feel seen by the campaign.

So....a solution? Sounds like you don’t want them to explore these cultural identifiers and the explorer-genre tropes. Should half the cast be fired and people you find “approved” be playing this game?

This may seem like an overly cynical and bad-faith interpretation of what Critical Role is doing with this new campaign.”

Name checks out

Do you think a customer is entitled a quality product they PAID for?

It’s not simply for consuming a product it’s out of respect for the people who keep showing up and giving you money.
Heck look at square enix and final fantasy. When FF14 came out the game was a disaster. SE could have just cut their losses and continued as usual.
But the reputation for their main franchise was on the

Let’s mock them! That helps!

Well, no. Seeing how in the game there seem to be hundreds of zombies per living human I’d say people got vaccinated in a somewhat realistic proportion.

Out of curiosity, how would we know if this article wasn’t also written by an impersonator?

How long is it going to take to be released though? I’m almost 50. I’m not getting any younger. I’ve only got 1 or 2 GTA games in my life time. If GTA6 comes out in 4 to 6 years and they also milk GTA6 for 10 more years. By the time we get GTA7 I could be well into my 70's.
