You could use the same argument that depictions of video game violence also will get into your brain by osmosis, and desensitize it. 

What seems a little bit ridiculous is that scenes of graphic violence are deemed OK, but the line was drawn at cigarette usage. This raises certain questions we may not like the answers to.

So if people get influenced by video games then, by this logic, people should be more at risk of performing acts of violence after playing violent games. I’m not saying this is necessarily false (or particularly true), and I’m not really against banning the depiction of cigarette usage either, but care is demanded on…

It’s being made by Netflix, so of course it will be cheap. I’m naively hoping it won’t be yet another one of their shows where for over 90% of the time basically nothing happens.
