Thats missing the point. The author notes that there weren’t any black people hired when designing fictional African cultures, implying that a black person would know more about Africa than a white person. This is the sort of stupid comment I keep reading on ex-Gawker sites.

Yeah, when wanting to research and design ancient African societies I just ask a black person and expect an answer.
