Hate if you want. I installed some aftermarket aluminum paddles and tuned the hell out of the transmission and high speed shifting is a blast. But you got blinders on, so I'm sure you don't care. Enjoy what you got.

They're in full blow "cover our ass" mode at this point. Tiny little concerns or potential issues that other companies would ignore right now are being addressed with stop sale orders and recalls. It's not like their quality has suddenly plummeted or anything.

Pfffft. I wouldn't want to embarrass you.

Even better reason, because the optional exhaust is the dual mode that opens baffles on a speed/load engine basis, so the long drives and highway drone is a non-issue.

Poor choice of headlines and incomplete reporting as well. The ignition is not "failing." The ignition switch / cylinder / vehicle is doing exactly what it's supposed to if you turn the key off. GM is proactively making that less likely to happen for people who set close to the steering wheel, torque specifications

The ride quality definitely falls on the side of "harsh," but it's not jarring to the point where it's uncomfortable.

story of my life :(

Whooo!! Top 2!!

I have a list, pick one:

Odd title, being as he looks to be trying to stab the throttle to get the car out of fairly hefty understeer for most of the first half of the video until he gets to a corner tight enough to pull the 'understeerstopping stick'. It wants to go straight on, that beast does.

Everyone calling for blood...please stop being stupid. Please.

Paid leave does not mean "and then they shall never be let go." Once the investigation concludes and the possibility of a counter-suit by the dismissed is covered, this will be complete. Also, there may be more individuals involved down the line as well.

Chri

Paid leave is what you give when you're still investigating. It's easier than being sued for lost wages if an investigation doesn't turn up anything.

it's a precursor to their layoff... "You didn't really screw up but the media has crucified us and since you didn't catch some other assholes mistake soon enough you're our scapegoat...start looking for another job...I hear Walmart is hiring"

It's called a revision number. Nothing to see here, this is completely normal practice. Anyone in engineering will tell you that. Giving something a new part number seems like a simple thing to do, but in reality can be a complete nightmare and cause even more problems down the line. Just check batch numbers

Uh, so they probably changed the part revision level. I'll bet its also stamped on the part somewhere.

Now playing

You should post the full run, which included two backflips and ended in a rather impressive tumble

Oh, I saw the point and went well past it. Because big shiphorn in a small car.
