This car went 263 in the standing mile. Much quicker than hot rod's camaro.

Muscle Milk Pickett Racing previously used the HPD ARX-03C which was powered by a 3.4L N/A Honda V8.

With hindsight, we probably shouldv'e used square tubing with these tabs. But this worked ok. Do you know if they did the same thing the year after mine?

That's good to hear about our old heap. What was done with the old engine? I heard about the Genesis from Devin, sounds like a sweet combination. I wish I could see it sometime.

CVT came from a snowmobile. I think it was a Comet primary, not sure on the secondary. Nothing fancy.

I worked on the Bradley FSAE Frame team in 2011-12 and I agree with everything you've said. I believe we were the last to use the CBR600RR with the CVT. Packaging that thing was a nightmare, and I hated the final result.

Where did the 18.3333333 come from?

The framerate of the gif is matching the wheel speed. So the wheel appears to be still, but it is actually spinning in the video.

Webber's vortices in Brazil this weekend.

Was this on Friday or Saturday practice?

Huh... I understand where you're coming from. But, that doesn't make sense to me, I'd need to see some real numbers, or try to hash it out on my own.

Actually, the drag created from a spinning tire in an open-wheeled racecar is worse than an LMP's closed wheel configuration. This lift(downforce)-drag ratio is therefore more efficient with an LMP's bodywork.

That's not true at all. An F1 car corners far quicker pulling higher G while being lighter. Most of this is due to the huge amounts downforce they generate via front/rear wing, diffuser, and floor. Sucking astroturf of the ground doesn't mean they create more downforce.

Why not?

Oops, Chairman Kaga beat me to it.

Blue Flame. Held the the land speed record for 13 years from 1970 to 1983. It did the flying mile at 622mph.

Do you think this thing hit 278mph with a misfire? That was probably ignition cut for traction control of some sort.

I have been working on my 5.3 LM7 powered Sonoma. It's been a blast so far! I have stock wheels and tires now so it's a bit hairy anytime a get into it. But, I just picked up a set of C5 wheels to put some decent rubber on it.
