I grew up in Oakley and Antioch and got out as soon as I could, 10 years ago. The traffic and lack of public transit makes going to work a nightmare.

It’s Vallejo though, and the ferry isn’t very flexible as far as scheduling goes.

I saw this topic and I knew I had to contribute.

This was my first thought when I read the story. How hard is it to say “no” to someone who’s just doing their job?

Yup, that’s really the core of it.

Ha! So true. I admit, I did a lot of work to get better at sharing my feelings and communicating, but once I did, I wondered how the hell I managed to get this far without these skills

Maybe you should walk back that Kanye remark; dude hasn’t lost his inspiration at all.

That movie was creepier than I thought it would be.

Go away, we don’t want you here.

Who’s making this argument that 15 year olds shouldn’t face harsh consequences for murder? If anything, the issue is life sentences for minors.

I am so sorry this happened to you and your family, but I'm glad to hear you, your godmother and her daughter are doing better now.

The guy also never faced any real consequences for his repeated actions, and he goes around claiming LGBT people are perverts who lust after children.

That’s not the issue at all, so stop with the comparison.

You’re a selfish moron. We have decided, as a society, that access to water and food is a basic human right. You benefit from this, whether you admit it or not.

Who’s arguing for a guarantee of success?

Are you on a taxes-are-theft hype right now?

But they're still making "marriage" a religious ceremony while leaving an "affidavit of common law marriage" for everyone else. Why should we step backwards?

I'm assuming the Supreme Court will rule that marriage equality is the law of the land, so you can strike out the "straight" part.

At least someone else sees the folly is making a simple process more complex.

It's not about being partisan. I don't think it's a good idea to scrap 1+1 marriage.
