“We’ve been trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty.”
“We’ve been trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty.”
oh yeah man - these guys serve as EMS, counselors, part time cops, they do so much - but they make call center money
In most (but not all) of Canada, EMS is public and is still facing massive worker shortages. The few areas with for-profit EMS are much, much worse off.
Owners of EMS companies- there’s your problem right there.
“How can a dealer charge this to an owner who has no intention of buying out the lease?”
If it was your dream attainable car, then no. You can desire a car that isn’t overly special and if you had the right finances you could buy yourself. It’s not like if you had won the lottery back then, the first thing you would have done is go buy a Contour. Unless you would of, then I’d say dream bigger.
I had one of these probably about 2000 or so. It was a 1998 off lease or program car with 18k on the clock. I think I grabbed it for like $12k or so. It was my first “real car” (read: not total shitbox)when I graduated college and could actually afford something decent.
It really is a handsome sedan. For what it was in that period, it what was a close in resemblance to its European cousin. Looked really nice in real life.
Is it sad that this was my dream car at one point in my life?
1. Drive as fast as possible. Getting there fast reduces the amount of gas you burn on the way!
Jeep Grand Cherokee colors, especially the new ones. Mostly dark colors. Only solid color available on Summit Reserve is black. The lower models are the same as the top colors.
Does the Challenger have the widest range of possible MSRPs proportional to its base price? I’m still amazed that the base model is under $30k while the high performance ones can be literally triple that before options.
The mighty Dodge. These colors look particularly stunning when paired with the yellow shipping guards.
VW has released some incredible colors over the years. I’ve had the pleasure of owning Green Rave and Fahrenheit orange GTIs. But they released one particular color that should go down in infamy: Futura Yellow. They should be applauded for taking chances with paint, and encouraged to do so again soon. But WTF…
The only cars I see with a nice color selection are Chevy Sparks
The GTI was never SUPPOSED to be a ‘sports car’. Thats why the Scirocco and Corrado existed. The GTI is supposed to be a ‘hot hatch’. A... *checks notes* caffeinated version of an every day commuter car.
Was the Cascada really that bad? It always looked to me like a reasonably fun car for the kind of person who’d buy a Buick in the first place.
So, nobody here asked me to write this. Nobody here asked me to go on this trip. I did it because I want to. Because adventures are fun.
The great thing about writing for Jalopnik is that I get out of this job whatever I put into it. If I want to do fun shit, I do it, and then I write about it. I write about racing…
Never mind that the morons that post stuff like this are the same people fighting to keep coal burning plants going. Failing on a massive scale, but still trying.
This stupid stereotype is STILL alive?
