The big issue here isn’t “defining as a service rather than a feature,” it’s RE-defining it as such, which just reeks of money-grabbing.

Yeah but ultimately the reason behind why your company operates responsibly is WAY more likely due to government regulation than the goodness of their own hearts to forego profit in favour of safety.
It’s easy. Once the car inevitably catches fire and immolates itself, and him, he fits in the trunk, in an urn.
“Wow, that BMW Z1 is a looker! Make it like that, but worse. With a stupid crease, please.”
Wednesday is the only day they aren’t broken down?
My dream list is a safe, fun, PHEV convertible vehicle with room for 2 kids in the back... If this happens, and the Bronco proves to score better than the Wrangler in safety, it’s a winner in my mind.
“Jeep Nation Clothing Outfitters.” Duh!
I heard the next new logo is going to be “DATSUN.”
I just bought a $170 Chromebook from Walmart (Lenovo 3 11 -- It’s awesome), and still ran it by the wife out of courtesy to her and my relationship.
Funny you mention a 940 in the context of “safe, old cars,” ‘cos it’s the quintessential “safe car,” right?
So much this, and the false dichotomy between “Old, fun car” and “new, boring car” is fucking annoying.
You don’t have to buy a minivan (but it will be more convenient). You can easily find modern, fun cars. Hell, if your budget allows have an uber-practical DD and a second modern fun car as well.
I used to be in favour…
Bought a Grand Cherokee with a newborn and 2 year-old, and it was a pain in the ass getting them in and out. Most importantly, it wasn’t great for rear-facing them as long as possible.
Traded for a Pacifica and now my now 4 year-old daughter can hang her legs off each side of the captain’s chair, comfortably…
This’ll do 175mph. I got five on it.
I’ll begin a project that is going to require me to renew my German passport and learn about interior design. More on this, soon (and yes, that was intentionally cryptic).
BMW Vixen?
Reliant Kitten all the way.
I’ve got a 2014 and we used to have a ‘12. A couple of things to note — Very, very, very few Volts have legitimately needed battery replacement. There’s a first-gen running around with over 400k miles on the original battery.
Volt in Chicago area here. Driving without much thought to economy you’ll see ~40 miles range in nice weather and more like ~25 in the cold.
I’m not sure what gen Prius you drove, but if it was anything > 5 years old I’m not sure you were awake when driving it -- I’m biased, as a Volt owner, but most any review would have told you at the time the Volt was the nicer and better-performing driving experience.
I think your take is a bit extreme but would it kill them to offer some sort of at least partial electrification option?! This would be a home run even just as a PHEV.
I’m not the target market but I’d much rather have an i8 than the 8 series (except maybe the M)...
